School Opened

Bloomsbury International School Hatyai’s foundations were first laid in mid-2014. At the start of the academic year 2014-15, the school opened its freshly painted doors to a student community made up of 30 – 40 students and 11 teachers across Primary and Secondary.

The school offers a wide range of facilities. Adjoining our 60 metre-long corridors on two floors in both the England and Wales buildings, we have 24 classrooms, a Music Room, a Drama Studio, an IT Suite, a Cooking Room, an Art room, a newly refurbished Science Lab and two libraries. In the 6-storey Scotland building, we have a large Convention Centre where whole school events take place. We also have our boarding house on the 5th floor.

Council of International Schools (CIS) Accredited

Bloomsbury was awarded the CIS accreditation on January 2022. This is a prestigious award from the highest accrediting body in the world.

We are one of only three schools south of Bangkok that have managed to meet these very high standards. The other two are United World College Phuket and the British School Phuket. We are now in the same group as the most prestigious schools in Thailand.  This accreditation means that Bloomsbury is recognised globally as a high quality international school. It is a quality mark you can trust.

ONESQA (Office for Educational Standards and Quality Assessment)

Towards the end of 2021, we were inspected by the teams from ONESQA. We are proud that we are now also fully accredited, once again, with ONESQA. For those of you who may not know, ONESQA is the official Thai accreditation body that no school can operate legally without. It is great to hear that our school is recognized by official bodies as being excellent. However, it is our parents and students that really count.

The future at Bloomsbury looks increasingly bright as we continue to develop and build on the excellent foundations laid and extended in the school’s early years.
